We understand all that goes into planning a successful event and how much work it is! Luckily, we can help take company gifts off your plate with a virtual or on-site gift experience. While we take care of everything from inventory management to set up and distribution, there are still some things to consider when deciding which gift experience will best fit your group. We’ve come up with our top five considerations to help you get started!
1. Budget
One of the first things to ensure the success of your gift experience is having a firm grasp on your budget. This is one of the first questions we’ll ask when gathering information about your program. Knowing how much you have to spend per guest will help us tailor gift options specific to you and your group.
2. Audience/Demographics
What better way to choose the perfect gift experience than to fully understand who you’re gifting? It seems straightforward, but there are a couple of things to consider when understanding your audience and their demographics. First, it’s important to know the ratio of female vs male attendance. If your group is 80% female and 20% male, you’re not going to want to only offer handbags as a gift. Your goal is to please all 100% so try pairing handbags for the 80% with another category like sunglasses for the 20% so everyone can select something they’ll love. It’s also important to consider whether or not recipients will have a guest or spouse with them at your event. Will these individuals be receiving a gift on behalf of your company as well? If so, think about those demographics and what they may enjoy.
3. Location
Where and when is a consideration that may not seem relevant to gifts but can help elevate guests’ experience if thought through. Here’s why. If you’re planning an event in Hawai’i in July, you’re not going to want to select a fleece jacket for your gift experience. While guests may really love the jacket, they’re not going to wear to them while on the beach in Hawai’i. Instead, try a sandal gift experience! Your guests are more likely to wear them the entire time making for a successful gifting experience.
4. Previous Gifts
This consideration is one we’ve found to be skimmed over quite a bit, but can really help in the long run to create a fresh gift experience year after year. Think about what gifts recipients have received in the past. While our sandal gift experience is extremely successful, your guests probably won’t be as excited if you’ve gifted them two years in a row already. Instead, try gifting another high valued category like handbags and luggage or apparel!
5. Your End Goal
It’s beneficial to ask yourself what your end goal is when planning your next gift experience. Remember this gift is representing your company, and you want it to make a lasting impression! We’ve found that if attendees feel appreciated and are given a memorable experience the gift becomes much more than just a fashionable handbag, it becomes a memory that will stay with that individual every time they use the handbag they’ve selected.
